In the regional Bowls3five playoff this evening at Hawera Park, Aramoho has narrowly defeated West End. Results (West End names first): Gary Lilley beat Phil Corney 2-0, Steve Walker lost to Keith Slight 0.5-1.5, John Garrud lost to Peter Belliss 0.5-1.5. The Garrud-Belliss game was the last to finish, and after the first set ended in a draw, the second set was all-square playing the last end. Aramoho got the point on that last end to take the fixture and advance to the next stage of the national knockout event.
